Christmas Marzipan Cake

2 eggs

dash salt

1 cup less 2 Tbsp sugar

1 Tbsp butter

2 Tbsp almond extract

1 cup, less 2 Tbsp flour

Slivered almonds

Blend eggs, sugar, salt, butter and almond extract in mixing bowl.  Add flour and mix well.  Pour into a greased 8 inch pie pan or square pan.  Garnish with almonds, optional.  Bake at 325 for 25 minutes.  It will not brown.  Remove from oven and slice immediately.  Put aside to cool.  When cool, remove from pan.
